چکیده

Abstract Degradation of various organic pollutants by bacteria has been proved to be an economical and environmentally friendly method. The key challenge in making these technologies widely available is their low degradation efficiency. Here, we report a composite membrane composed graphene oxide polyvinyl alcohol (GO-PVA) which can markedly enhance the efficiency rate Shewanella degrade Congo red (CR). alone on CR solution was about 42% at 72 h. After addition GO-PVA membrane, reached 91% time 36 increased two times four presence compared alone. This indicates that could rapidly completely degraded increasing input amounts process algae CR. Moreover, showed good recyclability reusability. biocatalysts performance did not decrease after 10 cycles. Furthermore, role products were discussed.

Graphene-CdS quantum dots-polyoxometalate composite films for efficient photoelectrochemical water splitting and pollutant degradation.

rGO-CdS-H2W12 nanocomposite film was successfully fabricated by a layer-by-layer self-assembly method. The composite film was characterized by techniques such as UV-Vis spectra, XPS, and AFM. The composite film showed high photoelectronic response under the illumination of sunlight. Both current-voltage curves and photocurrent transient measurements demonstrated that the photocurrent response o...

Thin film nanocomposite forward osmosis membrane prepared by graphene oxide embedded PSf substrate

One of the limiting factors in good performance of forward osmosis (FO) membranes is the internal concentration polarization (ICP). To reduce ICP, thin film nanocomposite forward osmosis (TFN-FO) membranes were fabricated by adding different amounts of graphene oxide (GO) nanoplates (0-1 wt. %) to polymer matrix of polysulfone (PSf) substrate. The prepared nanocomposite membranes exhibited both...

Nannobacteria as a Byproduct of Organic Tissue Degradation by Bacteria

Introduction: Tiny spheroidal objects in the size range from 40-150 nm are common in sedimentary rocks, and have been interpreted as the fossilized remains of minute life forms [1,2,3]. Because etching and mineral precipitation can produce oval shaped artifacts in the size range of nannobacteria, there was always some scepticism in this regard. However, when similar looking objects were discove...
